![]() ![]() C&C Red Alert takes place in the unspecified period in the 1950s during early history of the alternate universe of Command & Conquer, a parallel universe which was inadvertently created by Albert Einstein to prevent the horrors of World War II, when Allied Forces battle an aggressive Soviet Union for control over the European mainland.Ĭommand & Conquer: Red Alert was originally released for PC running on MS-DOS and Windows 9x (95, 98, Me) legacy operating system, and was subsequently ported to PlayStation, PSP and PS3. Although it’s successor to original Command & Conquer of 1995, Command & Conquer Red Alert is actually prequel to the original Command and Conquer C&C1. Command & Conquer (C&C): Red Alert was produced by Westwood Studios and released by Virgin Interactive in 1996. In here there should be a file called RA95.exe, like you did with install.Command & Conquer: Red Alert is the second game in the Command & Conquer (C&C or CnC) franchise series of real-time strategy computer game. Once the game is patched go to Computer again and find where the game is installed, you should have made a note of this earlier eg C:\Games\Red Alert. Save it to the desktop and just double click to install it. ![]() Now the game has installed download the Red Alert 1.08 Patch here ![]() When installing make a note of where the game is installed as you will need to know this later on. You can now left click install.exe twice and the setup wizard should now install the game ok. You should now see a menu with a few tabs at the top of the screen, click on the one that says comparability, here select run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 98 / ME, after doing this press ok. Now double click the Setup95 folder to open it, in here there should be a file called install.exe, right click on install.exe and select properties. Ok go to computer, this will either be an icon on the desktop or a button in the start menu (windows, bottom left of the screen)įind the DVD drive Red Alert is in then right click on this drive and select open. ![]()
